The first part, I’ve seen this enough to plan my life around the worst-case scenarios. I wonder if my planning through expectations makes me prone to such cases in the first place. Better safe than sorry. This also shows that not only the worst part is executed but also anything out of the ordinary can be expected. Considering there are so many people in this world, can luck be distributed abnormally enough that one person is completely lucky and the other completely unlucky?
Diverting to the topic of luck, I’m quite curious as to what exactly luck is and how to change it since one thing’s for sure – there is no script for this life. It can be changed, provided one is brave enough to take a calculated risk. On this topic, luck definitely favors the bold. Exploiting the luck which life throws at you needs some preparation too. Being battle ready is important. An ill prepared craftsman cannot use the tools they’re offered. So, just like work ethic and talent, luck is another stat which needs to be improved. How to do that?
- Be open to listen.
- Be brave.
- Trust your intuition.
- Be optimistic and look for the positive aspects of everything, including negative ones.
- Be ready with all the skills you’ll need.
- Finally, calculate to know your numbers. Luck is a statistic too.
TL;DR work hard and hope
Other things:
- Only one other thing per day.
- The fastest way is to learn from the best.
- No phone until the food’s not done.
- Yoging, medding and writing.
- [[ I’ve noticed that when I don’t eat, I am more concentrated at the task. I know this from the ‘Old me’ saying. But this is the first I’ve experienced this in a while. I finished almost 120 pages in 3 hours, which is more than a page every two minutes. And everything flowed into my mind seamlessly, without thought or focus. It is really difficult to explain, which was the reason I had oversimplified it to “I work better”. First, I’m not distracted which keeps my mind on the page. Second, I don’t have to put any effort into understanding what I’ve read, it’s processed simultaneously as I read the next sentences. Third, though I’m hungry/tired/whatever I’m supposed to be feeling, I have been feeling that for almost two days then, hence I’m already running on a steady supply which didn’t get ‘used up’ and that made me be at a constant energy levels = not very long breaks to recover from the mental strain. Also, also, also, I was zero distracted by music which usually happens (first was about my internal thoughts which need energy too I’m guessing.) ]]
- I feel so useless when I do yoga.
- Drink more water.
What makes people crazy?
*Cracks knuckles* *Removes accessories* *Sits down* *Starts ranting*
Recently I’ve been seeing people talk about their likes and dislikes. And also reading up on what makes a person happy in a society. The thoughts/assumptions as of now are:
- People do what they like to do.
- People need freedom to do what they want to do.
- Like every conclusion comes from a set of predicates, every action needs some ingredients, be it time, money or energy.
- The outcome/consequence of an action cannot just vanish into thin air most of the times.
What I’m trying to figure out here is why people sometimes act contradictory to what they stand for and why people hate each other.
The second, even though is said to be the natural disposition of a human, passed down through the ages, seems to be a lie, says me, using a sample size of a friends circle, which also happens to be mine. Many think that the group of people I’m talking about is different from the average group because of their upbringing and cultivated reasoning skills. However, this is the entire point. The group might be far removed from the average, 5 SDs away, but this doesn’t mean they are fundamentally different from the mean. This only goes to support the fact that education can help bridge differences when done right. It’s the people in power who instigate one against another to keep themselves safe, and the people themselves believe it’s natural to be so in no time. Will a single voice be enough to break the illusion? It should. Repetition is the key to remembrance and familiarity. And what’s familiar is often considered the truth over the vague and mysterious.
Coming to the first point, which also uses a part of the second – Why do people act contradictory, why do people behave the way they do?
1. People can have more than one belief systems. This can lead to one influencing their decisions compared to other beliefs. One cannot have all their beliefs set in stone, unchanged and served.
2. Lies, Lies, Lies.
3. When people talk about something, the things they talk about might be the outward-facing attributes of their beliefs rather than their beliefs themselves. So, even though it seems contradictory, the innate belief itself is not contradicted.
A word of mouth can be led to infer a hundred underlying thought and belief systems. However, having more than one word, it should be easier to think, “What exactly does this person want?” Are wants and needs which keep the person moving forward?
There are a few things that I believe people look for: personality, values, experiences and emotions being the basic internal themes. Others include social and economic status as well as relationships, which are external to the person. Knowing these will help to come to a quicker conclusion in a debate as well as resolving conflicts among people.
Phew, this took long. Now for a poem. I’ll be back 😉
