- As usual, I need strength.
- Learnt how to use a bow stringer which works occasionally
- Got a form trainer
- My riser is 21 inches and the entire bow is 66″
- A monthly log is much better and fewer posts.
- Learn what warmups are effective. Since I’m using a form trainer now, the impact will be worse without warm up.
Monday
Today was a break since sunday was a ~3-4 hour practice
Tuesday
Went out and was dark by the time I came back
Wednesday
Slept through the evening?
Thursday
Was busy going to the dining hall for lunch and for dinner that my fingers died carrying all the food. They were legit shaking XD
Friday
Was too LAZY and it was drizzling.
Saturday
Went to the range to get some practice in. Struggled for almost 3 hours to:
- get the string on using a bow stringer. Had to switch through 2 different models
- the stringer which works also keeps slipping off
- The poundage is 36 lb which is actually higher than expected
- I found a form trainer which I’m gonna use to get stronger
- my back, both lower and upper, is deadd.
- didn’t actually shoot much
Sunday
Well, I got tired string it and probably practiced for ~20 min before giving up since my shoulders were aching.
Got my gymnastics rings and need to WOKOOT.
Action Items
- I’m eating more, but I need to eat better food?
- Also, actually exercise if I need to get stronger.
- Got the bow home, so I can practice whenever I want, no excuses.
- I sometimes get away from the point, not just in archery. So, I need to keep in mind, “What am I trying to achieve here?”
